Cron Job
Required

You must set up a cron job so expired images are deleted automatically. Without it, images with an auto-delete time will stay on the server after they expire.

ImgBob uses Laravel’s scheduler. Add one cron entry that runs every minute:

* * * * * cd /path-to-your-project && php artisan schedule:run >> /dev/null 2>&1
  1. Replace /path-to-your-project with the full path to your script root (the folder that contains artisan).
  2. If needed, use the full PHP path (example: /usr/bin/php instead of php).
  3. In cPanel, open Cron Jobs, choose Every Minute, and paste the command above.
What the scheduler runs
  • uploads:delete-expired — deletes expired images from storage and the database (runs every minute).
  • uploads:clear — deletes leftover upload chunk files (.part) from incomplete uploads (runs daily).
Run a command manually (optional)

From SSH, inside your project folder:

php artisan uploads:delete-expired
php artisan uploads:clear
Tip

After adding the cron job, upload a test image with a short auto-delete time and confirm it is removed after expiry.

Updating
Backup first

Backup your files and database before updating.

  1. Download the latest package from CodeCanyon.
  2. Upload and replace the updated script files. Keep your .env file.
  3. If the package includes update.sql, import it into your database.
  4. Go to System Information and clear cache.
  5. Hard refresh your browser and test the website + admin panel.
This version needs PHP 8.4+. Upgrade PHP on your host before updating if you are still on an older PHP version.
